At first, everything seemed to work fine, the turn signals worked and the hazards worked etc. But, then I went to turn right and my right signal stuck on and would not turn off. Previously, I was able to get the right signal to shut off by flipping the left signal on quickly or turning on the hazards momentarily.
I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 Motor and the left turn signal use to work sometimes and sometimes not. Now it does not work at all. The flashers work. The right blinker works. The left turn signal does not work. I think the problem is with the multifunction switch in the steering column.
Make sure you have a good ground everywhere. If in doubt, either re-ground body or while testing, use a seperate long ground wire from the battery connected to test light or meter.Make sure all appropriate fuses are good. Use power in, power out test on all plugs, junctions and sockets. It sounds complicated but it's not.
Reaction score. 9. Location. Milford, CT. The bulb that is blinking fast is not always the culprit. Usually when the front flashes fast the rear is out, I would put on the signal and check both the front and rear. Also you may want to bend the little metal connection plates on the bulb holder itself.

if the hazards work on all 4 corners, then everything from the switch out, is good, and if the right turn signal works, then it has all the power sources and grounds, this only leaves the combination flasher as the culprit, it has seperate sense wires for left turn, right turn, and hazzards, so if the switch has already been replaced, then it has to be in the combination flasher,Tim
Stock XJ Cherokee Tech. All XJ Non-modified/stock questions go here - headlights not working - Front head lights dont work. Fuses and relays are good. Switch seems to be working. turn signals on dash all light up. turning left or right and both flash.
This part is subject to severe wear and tear and could eventually fail. Follow these steps to inspect and possibly fix the lever. Use a Phillips screwdriver to undo the top steering column and lower dashboard cover. Unscrew the turn signal lever. Disconnect the switch connector and inspect for gunk or burnt marks, etc.
